Terms of service

These terms apply when you use this website or order a trailer or cover from us. Plain English wherever plain English will do.

1. Using this site

You may browse this site and submit our forms for their intended purpose. Please don't try to break it, scrape it at scale, or submit anything unlawful. We may change or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

2. Briefs, treatments and quotes

Sending us a brief costs nothing and creates no contract. The written treatment we send in reply is free and provided so you can judge the direction before committing; it remains our work until a project is paid for. Prices quoted are valid for 30 days.

3. Orders and payment

A project begins when you approve a treatment, accept the quote and we receive payment. Prices are in US dollars and shown on our pricing page. Payment is due before production starts unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Prices may change for future orders but never for one already paid.

4. What we deliver

Your tier defines the deliverables: trailer length, number of revision rounds, master resolution and file formats. Revisions beyond your tier's allowance can be bought at our then-current rate. Timelines we quote are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, and depend on you returning approvals and notes.

5. What you supply, and your promises about it

You'll give us the material we need — blurb, excerpts, cover art, links — in reasonable time. By sending it you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from material you supplied.

We won't produce work for content that is unlawful, that sexualises minors, that incites violence, or that we reasonably judge to be hateful. We may decline or stop a project on those grounds and will refund work not yet done.

6. Ownership and licences

• Your work stays yours. We claim no rights in your book, cover text or excerpts.
• The finished deliverables are yours. On full payment you receive a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the delivered files commercially, including in paid advertising.
• Third-party elements. Music, voice performances and any licensed footage stay the property of their owners. Your licence covers using them as part of your trailer — not extracting them for other projects.
• Our tools stay ours. Project files, prompt libraries, templates and working methods remain ours. Deliverables are the finished exports, not raw project files, unless separately agreed.
• Copyright and AI-assisted material. Under current US Copyright Office guidance, purely machine-generated material may not attract copyright protection on its own. Our deliverables combine human selection, composition, editing and hand-set typography, and we make no warranty as to the registrability of any individual element.
• Portfolio use. We'd like to show your work in our portfolio and marketing. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't, at any time, and we will take it down.

7. AI-assisted production

We use AI-assisted imagery, and on some projects AI-assisted voice, alongside licensed footage, motion design and practical elements — all under human creative direction, with a person reviewing and approving every deliverable. If you require work produced without AI-generated material, tell us before we begin and we'll quote that separately.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Before you approve a treatment you have paid nothing and can walk away freely. Once production has started, our commitment is to work through your revision rounds until the deliverable is right, rather than to refund. If we can't deliver at all, you get a full refund.

9. No guarantee of results

We make trailers and covers. We can't and don't promise book sales, views, followers or any other commercial outcome.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for it, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost launch opportunities. Nothing here limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version in force for your project is the one published when you paid. The date at the top shows the current version.
